About Shannon McCormick
Shannon McCormick is a fifteen-year veteran of stage and screen, as well as a writer and director. For the past three years, Shannon has been the co-producer of Out of Bounds Festival and Miniature Golf Tournament in Austin, Texas, recently named Best of Austin by the Austin Chronicle. Shannon is a company member of Austin’s most acclaimed producer of new plays, Salvage Vanguard Theater, starring in their production of the serialized radio drama, The Intergalactic Nemesis, which will be touring the country in 2006-2007. Shannon has also performed with numerous theater and comedy ensembles in Austin and Prague, the Czech Republic, including the sketch comedy troupe Catch 24, who performed at the Seattle Sketchfest in 2002. Shannon is a regular performer with Foleyvision at the Alamo Drafthouse, recently named the best movie theater in the United States by Entertainment Weekly magazine. Shannon has appeared in films with such notables as Liam Neeson, Geoffrey Rush, Judah Friedlander, Judge Reinhold and C. Thomas Howell, and he provided the fan-acclaimed voice for Akabane in the anime series the Getbackers. Shannon is the artistic director of Gnap! Theater Projects, a company dedicated to the collaborative creation of new work. Gnap! produced No Shame Theatre, a biweekly performance forum, in Austin for over four years. It also produces the aforementioned Out of Bounds Festival and the improv duo Get Up, of which Shannon is precisely half.
